Of Canadian interest, this attractive Mid 20th Century Royal Albert Porcelain Pin Dish bearing the device of Niagara Falls, Canada, was produced to commemorate the intended coronation of the then Prince of Wales as King Edward VIII, which in the event was destined never to take place. Produced by Thomas C. Wild & Sons at their St. Mary’s Pottery, Longton, Staffordshire, the underside of the piece bears their printed mark as used circa 1927 – 1935. Small old hairline to left of 6.00 o’clock.
