A most attractive and useful Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Pierced Brass Fender, supported by it’s three original “Lion’s Paw” feet, but no longer retaining it’s steel bottom plate, which was probably removed during the 1950’s, a period when the fashion for tiled fireplaces was at it’s height, to allow for fitting around a tiled hearth. Still suitable for this, it’s original purpose, but otherwise offering the perfect framework for a row of potted plants, particularly on a recessed window ledge.
