Antique English Victorian Bottle-glass Flower-pot Dump

This lovely Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Green Bottle-glass Dump was clearly not intended to turn out in quite this manner. That said, rather like a cubist painting, the end result is a delight to the eye and makes for an unusual and probably unique addition to the Glass Collector’s cabinet. The ethereal beauty of the enclosed potted plant, created during the manufacturing process by the action of the molten glass upon a fine powder, takes on an added lustre when viewed through the prism of the unintended bubble. The base with original unground pontil mark. Often used as door-porters / doorstops, these dumps make the perfect gift for the Collector of antique glass.
