Attractively decorated in a typical “Japan” pattern, the handle formed as a serpent, the base with impressed circular Maker’s mark of the period, viz. :- PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA, { As used by the pottery 1813 – 1825 ~ Godden ~ Mark No. 2540 }.
