Colourfully decorated in an Imari inspired pattern heightened with gilding, { now a little rubbed }, and with scalloped edge, this piece bears on the reverse the rare printed Maker’s Mark in puce, of an anchor set between the words Stone China, this reserved within a garter cartouche bearing the title, DAVENPORT LONGPORT STAFFORDSHIRE. { See “Davenport Pottery and Porcelain” : T.A.
