Colourfully decorated in an Imari pattern heightened with gilding, and with scalloped edge, this piece bears on the reverse the rare printed Maker’s Mark in puce, of an anchor set between the words Stone China, this reserved within a garter motif bearing the title, DAVENPORT LONGPORT STAFFORDSHIRE. { See “Davenport Pottery and Porcelain” ~ T.A.
