Antique English Victorian Vaseline Glass Oil Lamp
A pleasing Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Oil Lamp, the fluted column of round section rising from a well moulded stepped and domed brass foot, this seated upon a black ceramic base, the underside of which is stamped with the numerals 216. The font of pale blue vaseline glass, prettily hand-painted with a floral motif; and retaining it's original burner, each wick winder button engraved with the unusual device of a sailing ship. An attractive decorative item, offered here with a well matched 20th Century dimpled and scalloped shade of uncertain vintage, together with a replacement chimney as one would expect.
