Y Seint Grael : The Holy Grail : Robert Williams
A fine, clean, scarce copy of the facsimile reproduction of "Y Seint Grael : The Holy Grael", being "The Adventures of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, in the Quest of the Holy Greal and on other Occasions"; originally written about the year 1200, edited and translated by The Reverend Robert Williams, M.A. in 1876, and here offered as published by Jones { Wales } Publishers, of Pwllheli, Gwynedd, in 1987. Besides being a rattling good tale for everyone interested in King Arthur, this work is filled with symbolism and esoteric meaning for those whose studies have led them along this path, and for whom The Holy Grail is essential reading. The sheer beauty and poetic style of the old Welsh language used in these pages will be a delight to all Welsh speakers, whilst the Reverend Williams' painstaking English translation provides a sensitive and worthy addition to the literary heritage of English-speaking peoples. Superb full colour illustrations specially produced for this new edition by John Fane, Dip.M.S.C.D. Hard covers, 739 pages, original dust jacket, text in Welsh and English. Ref. YSGTHGRW/A4.

Antique Victorian Welsh Family Bible : Y Bibl Sanctaidd
A large 19th Century Welsh Family Bible, published by William Mackenzie of 22 Paternoster Row, London, also of Bristol and Swansea, in 1873. Typical of such as would have been occupied pride of place, { and have been read daily }, in every respectable home in Wales during the reign of Queen Victoria, but now, sadly, rapidly disappearing from view in today's more secular society. With text in Welsh of course, this example from Llangefni on the Isle of Anglesey, formerly in the family of Robert and Mary Jones of Pentre Berw, and recording in some degree their family history. A heavy tome with content complete, including some forty plus black and white engravings, it's spine however now in distressed condition and patched up with tape, thus in need of re-binding. An inviting "Labour of Love" for the Christian conservationist. Includes two loose leaflets taken from the Awst 6 and Hydref 1, editions of CYMRO, commemorating, Parch. Owen Thomas, D.D. and Parch. T. Charles Edwards, D.D. Weighing in at almost six kilos, this is a heavy item. ~ Ref. YBS/XX.
